Event Updates

The 2024 edition of Arabian Travel Market will be a live event. It will take place as a physical exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 06.05.2024 to 09.05.2024. COVID-19 safety protocols will be put in place at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The following are some health and safety measures that will be implemented:

  • Pre-registration is required using the designated online portals. This is necessary to avoid traffic congestion and to track down contacts. Participants must show their badge or ticket when entering the venue. They should also have valid 3G documents that demonstrate their health status. Negative test results, recovery reports, and vaccination certificates are all acceptable files. Proof of recovery documents must be between 3 and 6 months old.
  • Facemasks must be worn by all attendees in locations such as the exhibition spaces. Participants should also keep a social distance of 2 meters between them. They must avoid handshakes and other physical forms of networking. They should also avoid distributing free on-site literature.
  • All areas of the venue, particularly those with high traffic, will be disinfected on a regular basis. Overnight hall sanitation and regular high-touch area cleaning will be included in the disinfection.
  • Changes will be made to the exhibition grounds. These will include the aisles with a width of 2.5 meters for one-way traffic and 4 meters for two-way traffic. Specialised floor markings will be used to remind attendees about social distance. There will be special reminding signs about the mandatory wearing of face masks. The meeting capacity of the exhibition halls and meeting rooms will change. The social distancing principle of one person per 4m2 gross will be followed.

Visitors to the UAE should note that due to the ongoing travel restrictions, they will have to present upon arrival 3G entry documents such as vaccination passports.

The general mood is one of collaboration and visitors are searching for the next big deal in the sector. You’re able to position yourself among a high-profile international audience. ATM maintains a strong attendance record:

  • 2500+ international exhibiting companies;
  • 9000+ international exhibiting personnel;
  • 28,000+ international trade visitors;
  • 900+ accredited trade journalists;
  • 150+ countries represented;

Industry Relevance

Arabian Travel Market has a long history behind its back, which has contributed to its success. The inaugural edition was held back in 1994. In the nearly three decades, the trade show has managed to extend its influence to major regions all over the world, thus turning it into the best possible platform to network with buyers from as many countries as possible.

You also get to do this at the highest level possible. You also know that you’re betting on the safest option, because Arabian Travel Market is a brand that’s backed by the Government of Dubai and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. The show’s portfolio includes all kinds of travel such as bus and airline travel and all types of travel offers – cruises, language trips, cultural tourism, spa trips and resort vacations.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

Arabian Travel Market usually sees two flows of exhibitors and visitors in general. There are those local to the Middle East, who wish to showcase their products and services on a platform that gives them access to regions outside – Africa, North & South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe in its entirety. The opposite is also true. Companies and buyers from the outside are looking to build their networks with the inclusion of the luxurious travel destination in the Middle East. All in all, there is representation from over 150 countries.

As an exhibitor, you’re guaranteed great business through ATM’s Buyers’ Club, which has grown to 6,665 members – all senior travel industry decision makers. We’re talking tour operators and agents, wholesalers and private travel arrangers. An additional networking event is the Influencer Speed Networking, which is one of the best ways to get the word about your brand and service out to the world. You’ll be able to meet with bloggers and influencers, who are able and willing to do collaborations.

Additional Value of Attending

Don’t have the opportunity to travel in person to Arabian Travel Market? You don’t have to worry since the travel show has embraced the hybrid format. For two consecutive years, ATM has run a successful digital show. After the in-person edition, which lasts for four days, there’s also a digital edition scheduled a week later that runs for a total of two days. Faraway exhibitors and visitors still have a chance to network, get to know the latest in accommodation and hospitality, and close deals.

One of the most exciting features of ATM is the inclusion of the new sub-event ATM Travel Tech – an exhibition dedicated solely to travel technology. The exhibition has its own stage, which lines up exciting speakers and influencers in a series of live sessions that dive deep into how technology impacts the travel industry. The seminar programme features interviews, presentations and panel sessions held by hotel chains, OTAs, infrastructure partners and technology providers. All the information provided is hot, new and extremely relevant to your organisation.

In between all the networking, there’s exciting programming taking place every single day as part of the ATM Conference. You’ll hear from top expert speakers across all relevant sectors across the ATM Global Stage and ATM Travel Tech Stage. Lectures and presentations touch upon topics such as how experience will determine the future of travel, trends in responsible travel and travel technology. A major highlight is the ITIC-ATM Ministerial Roundtable, which features guests like the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and SMEs, the Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism of Botswana.

The Outlook for 2023

Organisers are deep into preparations for Arabian Travel Market 2023 and one big announcement has been the inclusion of a sustainability category at its annual exhibitor awards next year for the first time. The award is called ‘Best Stand Build Incorporating Sustainability Initiatives’. The idea is to promote environmentally friendly approaches to tourism and travel, and encourage exhibitors to think about the impact that their stand will have on the environment.

This falls perfectly in line with the show’s move towards reducing the impact of the travel sector on the environment, which currently contributes to 11% of the world’s carbon emissions. ATM 2023 will operate under the motto ‘Working Towards Net Zero’ and organisers are yet to reveal the 30 long-term goals. Just in time to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary.
