Why Your Visit is Worth It?

BATIBOUW is considered as one of the best procurement platforms and points for cross-border transactions. It’s an active marketplace that targets end consumers. It’s one of the most successful B2C events in the sector, which makes it a consistent earner. Exhibitors invest a lot to showcase their newest products and get direct feedback from their target audience. Exhibitors stand to make a lot in direct sales and sales leads. Let’s review the numbers:

  • 70,000 square metres of exhibition space are dedicated to booths;
  • 1000+ exhibitors are expected to showcase their innovative products;
  • 285,500+ visitors are going to walk the halls;
  • 215,000+ of these visitors are going to be arriving from outside Belgium;
  • BATIBOUW provides a full overview of the entire value chain.

Industry Relevance

BATIBOUW is a valuable market for exhibitors in the construction and renovation sector as it has been running since 1959 every single year at Brussels Expo. This way the trade show has become the stage to unveil the newest trends and drum up interest in product launches, which result in high spikes in direct sales. In terms of product categories, there’s everything you can imagine: alarm systems, chimneys, architectural services, building materials, construction, interiors, kitchens, lighting, planning, power tools, sanitary products, stoves and ventilation systems.

However, BATIBOUW is more than a marketplace. It’s a platform where new ideas are explored and the home and office reimagined. The Connected Home and Smart Building constitute some of the big themes that will dramatically change life.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

Considering the rich product assortment at BATIBOUW, it’s not a big surprise to discover that the trade show draws in a varied audience. Exhibitors are plentiful and represent the entire value chain like for instance Cosyflame that has cornered the niche for antiques and exclusive fireplaces. The booth for E.E. Group looks at the intersection of ecology and quality. Antargaz specialises in high-tech pressure regulators and Jidé is a stove manufacturer in Belgium. In terms of visitors, we have end consumers looking to renovate their home and their office, while professional visitors tend to be architects, contractors, interior designers, planners and skilled trade.

Additional Value of Attending

BATIBOUW is the stage where the Belgian Building Awards are given out. In addition to the hotly anticipated e ProductInnovation Award, organisers have made a couple of new changes. Back are two legacy awards - the Pioneer Award (for an organisation or individual that has gone where no one has gone before and reaped the rewards) and the Rookie of the Year (for a young agency that shows off innovative architecture and stellar management).

In 2022, two new categories have come into play. The first is the Repurposing category, which is for projects that give existing buildings a second life that’s aligned with the history of the buildings themselves. The second is the Group Housing category. Here the winner has to demonstrate how to most efficiently use available space through creatively combining several homes in one project.
