Why Your Visit Is Worth It?

It’s important to note that even though Cevisama is 38 years old, it continues to grow steadily over the years. This opens up fresh opportunities for exhibitors to generate new sales leads and break into new international markets. Let’s have a look at the numbers for the last live edition:

  • 92,000+ international trade visitors
  • 800+ international exhibitors
  • 156 countries
  • 1.4% overall growth

Industry Profile

Еstablished in 1983, Cevisama is held every single year at the beginning of February and stands as the biggest exhibition in Comunitat Valenciana. Editions are put together at the Feria Valencia and run for five days in total. There’s a lot to be discovered as Cevisama maintains one of the most impressive product assortments covering the whole value chain - ceramic tiles, surface coatings, natural stone, and bathroom and kitchen facilities.

It’s the essence of style and innovation. It’s the perfect platform to launch new products and move product off shelves. In this sense, Cevisama is crucial for exhibitors to generate interest in new offerings. Aside from the B2B portions of the event, Cevisama also has an incredible information programme led by the Architecture and Design Forum.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

The quality of exhibitors at Cevisama is not to be underestimated. The exhibition halls feature names such as STYLGRAPH, SMALTICERAM, MATICAD, MAXFATO, VISSUALLY and TORRECID GROUP. The types of products on display appeal to a large variety of trade visitors - retailers, distributors, manufacturers, buying groups, specifiers, architects, decorators, sales agents and exporters.

These visitors occupy high-ranking positions and have a direct say in what gets purchased. These people are interested in making purchases and have travelled from all over the world to do some. These are the countries represented at Cevisama - the United States, Russia, Morocco, India, Algeria, Poland, Belgium, Israel, Ukraine, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Ireland and Egypt.

Additional Value of Attending

Cevisama, in its role as one of the most important fairs in the ceramic tile and bathroom furnishing sectors, continues its extensive support of the industry through a support programme that equally seeks to educate as well as create opportunities for companies to showcase their innovations, hard work, excellence and creativity in design and construction. Each edition boasts an impressive and informative support programme.

One of the definitive highlights is the EXCO Technical Days conference, which brings together a set of renowned designers and architects to share their vision and experience in the world of design and construction. The conferences are promoted by the Polytechnic University and the Higher Technical School of Building Engineering of Valencia. Most recently the conference touched upon relevant topics like the Complexities of urban informality, Architecture for autonomy, Radical architectures and Sustainability & Industrialization. Presentations are further augmented with great roundtable discussions and guided visits.

The Architecture Forum is another essential meeting point for professionals currently working in architecture, interior design and construction. Here, top international experts from the sector give passionate talks and illuminate visitors on their body of work. Attendees will understand how they work, what informs their vision as well as the new needs and concerns of a constantly evolving sector. Most recently, the Architecture Forum welcomed Francis Kéré (winner of the Pritzker Prize 2022), whose works include the endowments at the Mali National Park in Bamako; the library in Gando (Burkina Faso) and the Opera Village in Laongo (Burkina Faso).

The Alfa de Oro Awards, organised by the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass, recognise products, processes, machinery and other innovations that stand out for their technological and/or artistic innovation. Winning an Alfa de Oro translates to immediate sales as well as attention from senior buyers. The big winners at the awards for 2023 included:

  • NEOLITH / Project: Neolith Iconic Design. The winning product was a large-format, precision-engineered glass ceramic that synchronises the digital deposition of atomised compositions and surface design.
  • NATUCER / Project: Natur-Led. The winning product is extruded parts with integrated LED lighting.
  • GRESMANC GROUP / Project: Innovation & creativity applied to architectural solutions for ventilated façades.

The Stand Interior Design Contest rewards the exhibitors of Cevisama who have gone above and beyond to create outstanding exhibition spaces. It takes into account a whole set of values including Ephemeral Architecture, which aims to optimally present a product in its trade fair context.

Another contest to pay close attention to is the Ceramic and Bathroom Design Contest, which is open to students enrolled in any national or international school of Design, Fine Arts, Architecture, and Engineering. They can participate individually or in teams of one or more design specialities and degrees.

Finally, the Distributor Awards aim to recognise the important work carried out by national distributors and purchasing groups of ceramics and bathroom equipment. These awards have been promoted for the third consecutive year and will be presented at Cevisama, taking advantage of the presence of distributors at the fair.
