Why Your Visit Is Worth It?

Even though Chemspec Europe lasts only two days, there’s a lot of reasons to make it a top priority to position yourself in this environment. All expenses quickly pay off when you come face to face with qualified buyers, who are looking to purchase and have the budget to do so. We’re just going to show you the statistics from the last live edition:
  • 16,800 square metres as exhibition space;
  • 358 international exhibitors from 27 countries;
  • 4200+ international trade visitors from 66 countries;
Organisers have revealed that over 250 exhibitors have confirmed their participation for the first edition since the pandemic. This is a clear sign the industry is recovering.

An Industry Profile

Chemicals have always held an important place in manufacturing and industrial processes, so it’s no surprise that an event like Chemspec Europe has succeeded the way it has. The event has been running on an annual basis ever since 1986 and every edition feels fresh and exciting. Organisers bring Chemspec Europe to a different European city each year like Frankfurt, Cologne, Bern. Each edition has its own dynamic and allows exhibitors to get established with new markets and groups of buyers. The advantage is clear – exhibitors can grow their visibility and penetrate foreign markets at lower costs and in a sustainable way.

Chemspec Europe impresses with its complete product assortment. All integral product groups are well showcased – pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, food and feed ingredients, flavours and fragrances, pigments and dyes, paints and coatings, household and cleaning chemicals, adhesives and sealants, petrochemicals, leather and textile chemicals, electronics. The changes in location also give opportunities for local exhibitors to add their voice and step into the spotlight.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

Chemspec Europe is a high calibre event for the chemicals industry, so it’s natural that you’re going to meet face to face with every decision maker and influencer. The business opportunities here draw the attention from corporate managers, product designers, R&D managers, production and process managers, and types of higher-ups. They typically tend to have full or partial decision making power when it comes to purchasing and sales.

The visitor profile is certainly rich when we look at industries. Exhibitors like Albemarle, BASF SE, CABB AG and Dottikon Exclusive Synthesis AG can easily diversify their revenue streams by connecting with professionals from health, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agriculture, and water management. It’s the qualities of exhibitors that attract buyers from all over the world. For 2022, organisers report the participation of ESIM Chemicals, IVICT Europe GmbH, Robinson Brothers Ltd, Mitsubishi Corporation, Saltigo GmbH, SOCMA, SOLVAY and WeylChem.

That’s enough motivation to pull visitors from near (Germany, the United Kingdom and France) and far away (US, China, India and Japan).

Additional Value of Attending

The trade show organises a series of conferences and workshops to complement the B2B portion of the event. You don’t want to miss out on the speakers at the Chemspec Europe Lecture Theatre, Agrochemical Lecture Theatre, Pharma Lecture Theatre, the Pharma Outsourcing Best Practices Panel and the Regulatory Services Lecture Theatre. The series of lectures are not to be missed as only the best speakers in their respective fields are invited to talk.

Aside from the sterling information programme, there’s one event that everyone talks about and serves an important purpose. Yes, it’s the Scholarship Golf Outing. In its 10 years, the scholarship golf outing has managed to raise over $210,000 in tuition fees for students. Exceptional students who want to pursue higher education in chemistry, chemical engineering and the life sciences, can do so without added financial strain. Plus, the event merges relaxation and business networking in a productive way.

Another way Chemspec Europe helps the industry and invests in new talent is through the popular Career Clinic, which is operated by the Chemical Search International (CSI). The goal is to guide the right engineers and other professionals to suitable roles with high-value companies. Whether you’re on the market for new hires or are searching for a new career path, the Career Clinic has all the answers. The pandemic has increased the need for skilled talent.
