Industry Relevance

EUROBIKE has been the centre for bicycle trends and innovations between America, Europe and Asia for the past three decades. The trade show was originally founded in 1991 and it’s been a hit for Friedrichshafen, Germany ever since with editions rolling regularly every single year. In 2021, EUROBIKE held its final edition in Friedrichshafen and will now relocate to Frankfurt. The move is an important new chapter for the trade fair as it responds to changes in conversations around the ecological costs of transportation. Bikes remain the greenest transportation and the best alternative for urban mobility.

The product portfolio is extensive and you’ll see booths for BMX, bicycle models, electric bikes, mountain biking, tools and accessories, protective gear, cycling clothing and repair equipment. Product displays come with product demonstrations where you’ll see all two-wheeler categories in action.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

In terms of geography, EUROBIKE has an impressive breakdown. The strongest numbers come from Germany, which is not surprising as its role as host country. You also have representation from neighboring and other European countries like Italy, Finland, France, Great Britain, Austria, Denmark and Sweden. Though there is also presence from distant destinations like Hong Kong, China, the Canary Islands, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and South Korea. In terms of professional background, the situation is ever so colorful and this is due to the excellent programming opportunities from special features focused on eMobility and lectures as part of the EUROBIKE ACADEMY to the DEMO AREA and EUROBIKE AWARD!

Buyers gain access to high-quality product ranges. ZEG (the Zweirad-Einkaufs-Genossenschaft) has committed to showcasing its full brand portfolio. We’re talking BULLS, PEGASUS, ZEMO, KETTLER Alu-Rad, HERCULES, FLYER, EURORAD, SHAREA, WANDERER, i:SY and MonkeyLink. That’s on top of established long-term brands that have used Eurobike as their best platform for launching new products and generating buzz from trade media and end consumers.

The Additional Value of Attending

Eurobike is open to the public, who attend not just to purchase a new ride, but to enjoy a good show. In the past, Eurobike has been the main performance stage for the Drop and Roll show. You will see balancing acts, drops and flips on a special track with various ramps, a paling fence and even an exercise ball (diehard fans know all about it). The team of bike riders is headed by the legendary Danny MacAskill. Organisers have confirmed there will be two shows in one day.

Major changes are taking place in mobility, especially now that the German government has made it a priority to change how urban areas are planned. Micromobility has emerged as the clear winner for a greener future. The focus falls on bicycles, e-bikes and electrically assisted small vehicles such as e-scooters and sharing services. Come discover what’s new and enter the conversation by heading to the Future Mobility area, which connects directly to the Demo Area.

You’ll get a lot of chances to be social and casually network while having a good time. If you’re interested in professional contacts, there’s the Networking Dinner. If you’re more interested in just grabbing a drink and dancing, the Eurobike Party awaits!
