The official dates are scheduled for September 11th – September 14th, 2024. The show concept will not feature for the time being first-rate COVID-19 protective measures. This is due to the removal of the domestic restrictions. Organisers will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the show concept as necessary. Industry Relevance

GaLaBau is very well established in the European market as it’s been going since 1974. What’s even better is that in its almost 50 years, the international trade fair has been growing at a constant rate. Editions are typically held once every two years in September at Messe Nuremberg. You’re in the perfect position as a brand to generate sales leads and close major deals. There’s space for everyone like gardeners and landscapes to show off their skills at the Dream Gardens exhibit.

The trade fair also creates space for newcomers to the industry like GaLaBau Camp. The exhibition space is dedicated to golf course construction, leisure facilities, playgrounds, plant cultivation, environment protection, plant protection, building utensils, construction, cemetery equipment. All related products and services are on display here, attracting major buyers who want the complete overview of the industry at large. Exhibitors benefit from the quality of sales leads and have a better chance to position themselves internationally without too much effort. GaLaBau is highly effective as a cross-border procurement platform.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

GeoRipper Deutschland, SAKRET, Link Substrate & Erden and Atlas Copco Power Technique are previous exhibitors. Exhibitors and trade visitors tend to be German in origin for the most part. International trade visitors come mainly from Austria, Italy, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, France, and Switzerland. You get a sense that the full value chain is represented since there are gardening, landscaping and open-space construction companies, landscape architects, specialist dealers of power tools, and planners from federal, state, and local authorities.

A great percentage of visitors have some decision-making visitors, whether they’re the owner or in upper management. Skilled workers are also heavily represented. Together they’re looking for information on new products, meeting with established clients and seeking further education.

Additional Value of Attending

GaLaBau Landscape Talks are a classic part of the support programme for the trade show. There’s a great variety of experts that come to discuss the current state of specific industries. Every edition brings in a completely different set of topics to the forefront. In 2022, the first day of lectures was dedicated to playground safety, while the second concerned itself with movement in the city. As a whole, the lectures were united by the broader theme of sustainability and adapting to the climate changes happening right now. A series of lectures touched exactly this problem and ran under the central theme “Together climate-proof into the future!”

The next big item is the bdla construction meeting, which is a seminar planned in collaboration with the Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla). The seminar consists of five lectures that navigate questions of construction technology and construction management in open space planning. You’ll hear from experts, who are working in high positions right now and have the most experience. Lectures are practice-oriented and perfect for landscape architects and contractors in the field of garden, landscape and sports ground construction.

The digital revolution has not ignored the building sector and Forum Digitalisierung@GaLaBau is where you’ll find relevant information about what’s happening and what you should be paying attention to right now. The series of lectures touch upon a variety of topics that serves as a guide to companies who are still new to digitalisation and have much to change about the way they do things in the new future. The forum goes beyond lectures and covers practical dialogs, compact workshops and product presentations to give you the full, in-depth experience you deserve.

Find all about how to organise and structure your digitalization, properly archive knowledge and know-how consistently, adapt to the new normal of the digital construction file and how to best incorporate cloud applications to measurably improve your workflows.

Finally, we should highlight the success and usefulness of GaLaBau CAMP as a way to help young companies and landscape gardeners come together, learn about professional opportunities and then network. There are a lot of career prospects to be discovered here. Last edition of the CAMP saw a tighter focus on education of young professionals. The motto was “Always stay on the ball” and people could sign up for hands-on workshops that allow people to find new entryways into the profession. Plus, organisers included fun features like the climbing garden, the basketball battle and the chill-out lounge to help with breaking the ice.
