Industry Relevance

Offshore Europe has been in operation since 1973 and during the first phase of its life was known as OFFSHORE SCOTLAND. As the exhibition amassed a following among the upstream oil and gas industry, it became attractive to international companies and experts, which then prompted the rebrand. The biennial event has now moved to a new home in Aberdeen, the Event Complex Aberdeen, which has more exhibition space and bigger capacity to showcase the entirety of the value chain.

Innovations sit front and centre at Offshore Europe, which appeals to high-profile buyers due to how complete its product portfolio is. Manufacturers are ready to present and demonstrate their latest work with pipe systems, pipelines, pumps, cranes, drilling, anchors, hydraulic products, oil rigs, lubricants, gas production technology and offshore engineering. A comprehensive conference program runs along the duration of the event, run by experts and decision makers in the sector, tackling the issues of the day. The conference is the true gem of the exhibition. Each edition guides the market and informs the big players on how to steer their business.

Offshore Europe occupies a special place in the offshore energy industry since the movement to a greener future has accelerated. This trend has formed under the threat of climate change and now operators and technology developers are using Offshore Europe as a resource and platform to better invest in a more sustainable energy mix.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

Offshore Europe is far more than just a procurement platform, although you are in the best position to meet with buyers with significant budgets. The exhibition and conference partner up to attract every possible professional involved with the offshore sector – experts, engineers, technical specialists and industry leaders. Around 16% of visitors represent independents, national and international operating companies.

As we’ve mentioned, last edition included 14 national pavilions that belong to countries like the USA, Belgium, Germany, France, China, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Canada. The level of internationality has reached a new high with 119 countries in total being represented. You have good participation from countries like Singapore, China, Nigeria, Guyana and Brazil both as trade visitors and exhibitors.

Companies that exhibit at Offshore Europe include POWER ELECTRONICS, BOHLER and HELIPERS CONTROL. Breaking down the visitors, we see that half of all visitors have direct control over purchases or a solid influence over procurement decisions.

Additional Value of Attending

In terms of main attractions, the biggest ticket is always the Offshore Europe conference, which has no equal anywhere in the world. A quick look at the volume of technical papers introduced in its duration is proof enough. World renowned scientists, researchers, and experts gather under one roof to dissect the state of the energy market and present future alternatives.

Energy transition dominates the conversation and the best place you can discover everything you need in terms of research, announcements, and investment opportunities is at the Energy Transition Zone. This zone is open only to operators, service, and technology companies preparing the oil and gas sector for a lower-carbon future. You can find the zone on the exhibition floor. There’s also the Energy Transition Theatre in Hall 3. A stellar lineup of speakers informs you in detail about cutting-edge insights, thought leadership strategies and vital technologies over the course of three days.

Of course, there are many other events available such as the Future Opportunities Theatre, Future Talent Hub, Hydrogen Hub, TIDE Programme, Offshore Wind Theatre, Innovative Technology Zone and the Offshore Europe Towards Net Zero Exhibitor Trail.
