ProWein 2025 will take place as a live exposition at Messe Düsseldorf between 16.03.2025 and 18.03.2025. At present, Germany does not have ongoing domestic Covid-19 safety measures. Additionally, the country removed its travel limitations in June 2022.

Such include exhibitors such as wine producers and professional associations. The Forum serves as the main learning location due to its diverse range of talks and seminars. During the lectures, professionals can learn about a variety of topics. Such include for instance the latest issues encountered by the wine industry. Each expert talk or seminar features a leading expert as the speaker. This includes distinguished distillers, oenological specialists, sommeliers, and wine producers. Each lecture or talk has a specific name that hints at the topic of discussion. For instance, the ProWein Trend Hour focuses on the latest trends.

One such example is the “Australian Wine Discovered” educational programme. It features 25 topics presented via editable presentations, maps, videos, and tasting mats. ProWein provides ample opportunities to sample wines and alcoholic beverages. This is due to the tastings permitting attendees to examine the offers before buying. An example of a dual-purpose tasting area is The Mundus Vini Tasting Area. The Area serves as the showcase location for wines awarded during the latest Mundus Vini. The Mundus Vini is a leading wine industry competition. It lauds high-quality wines, thus recognising the dedicated efforts of wine producers. Mundus Vini takes place once every six months — once in February and once in August. The judging panel comprises leading journalists, oenologists, sommeliers, wine traders and producers. The evaluation takes place via blind tasting rounds. The wines are arranged based on quality, product group, origin, and flavour. Each submission is then sampled by the jury and is rated via a fore-approved 100-point scale. Mundus Vini features three award categories — Grand Gold, Gold, and Silver. Grand Gold is awarded to wines whose evaluation score is between 95 and 100 points. Gold is for submissions with a score between 90 and 95. Silver is given to wines with an evaluation score between 85 and 90 points. 

Among the tasting locations that do not serve a dual purpose is the Best Of Occitanie Sud de France. The specialised zone is a walk-in location that displays the newest Occitanian cuvees. ProWein also features a city-wide sampling sub-event — ProWein goes City. The event allows professionals to visit various wine dealers, restaurants, bars, and hotels. During their visits, they can unwind and try different combinations of wine and food. ProWein’s support programme presents a diverse range of networking opportunities. Examples include the #SunnyLunch by AD'OCC — SUD DE FRANCE. During the event, wine producers gather at the Food Park to dine and discuss different topics. Each food course is accompanied by Occitan wines. The Australian Wine Bar is another networking sub-event of special interest. It allows professionals to network with Australian wine producers.

Often, ProWein’s event schedule includes novel events and zones. An example of such an addition is the trend show “same but different”. This is a specialised show that presents craft cider, spirits, and beer. It is also the location of the same but different BAR.
