Why Your Visit Is Worth It

SITEVI improves on international relationships between buyers and suppliers. The atmosphere is one of cooperation and collaboration as the biggest reasons why trade visitors attend are to find new products and solutions to combat climate change and improve production. It’s smart to mark this exhibition in your calendar as you’re able to earn all exhibition costs within the first day. The quality of visitors is not to be underestimated.

Attendance for the last edition certainly proves why SITEVI is worth your attention:

  • 935 exhibitors
  • 23% of exhibitors are foreign companies
  • 51,000 visits from 61 countries
  • 120+ international delegations
  • 50 talks and workshops
  • 23 tasting masterclasses of wine and olive oils

Industry Relevance

For nearly 50 years, SITEVI has been at the centre of innovation and research in agriculture with a focus on winegrowing, olives and vegetables. The exhibition arrives every two years at the Parc des expositions de Montpellier to showcase the next generation of tools, equipment and solutions to an eager audience. SITEVI happily marries a modern procurement platform with a world-class information platform led by international experts. The strategic location right at the heart of the Mediterranean basin and Europe contributes to the exhibition’s success and longevity.

The exhibition portion is split into three larger designated areas:

  • Vine & Wine: Grape harvesting machines; Oenology, wine-making; Vine nurseries; Filling and bottling;
  • Fruit & vegetables; Olives: Specific equipment for fruit & vegetable farming; Specific equipment for olive farming; Fruit & vegetable nurseries; Olive tree nurseries;
  • All 3 sectors: Traction; Tilling; Sprayers; Parts and components; Irrigation; Grafting, tying; Crop protection, fertilisers; Packaging; Handling; Rural and forestry areas; Renewable energy; Producer advice centre

SITEVI stays on top of current conversations and concerns. Wine growers find the resources and support in the form of workshops on topics such as fighting vineyard decay, solutions for climate risks, reducing the environmental footprint of vineyards and improving the overall yield.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

Fimer, Dragon Broillard, Europress, Frostbsuter, Decalex, Gener, Kocide, Lambox, McCormick and MONDO & SCAGLIONE make up only a small fraction of the brands that regularly make their appearance at the exhibition. SITEVI has a wide appeal when it comes to trade visitors. The vast majority at 49% are winegrowers and winemakers. These are then followed by equipment manufacturers, distributors, producers, trade associations, training and services providers. The last groups with smallest concentrations are wine traders and winery managers, fruit and vegetable farmers, and olive farmers.

SITEVI is a key meeting point for decision makers in Europe with the most visitors from Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany and the UK (outside of France, of course). Nevertheless, the exhibition has a wide reach and brings in buyers from as far away as Tunisia, Israel and the USA.

Additional Value of Attending

SITEVI is a gathering that puts innovation at the forefront, bringing together startups that facilitate the digital transformation of the vine-wine, olive, and fruit & vegetable production industries. This year's Start-up Village is in collaboration with La Ferme Digitale and Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation, demonstrating a commitment to supporting these sectors in their development. Investors will have a large selection of newcomers to investigate: Numeric Wave, Aptimiz, Azuvia, Lexagri, Chouette, 3D Aerospace and Elzeard.

Perhaps you’re interested in recruiting new talent for your organisation? Job Dating makes it all happen in a dedicated space, where recruiters connect with prospective employees to discuss their needs and ideas about their career development. Visitors discover numerous job opportunities that range from internships and apprenticeships to full-time positions. The process is simple and quick as all meetings last 15 minutes in order to establish initial contact and make following up easy.

You’re provided a lot of support by the Vitijob/Jobagri team, which provides advice to companies and candidates alike. They’re also able to step in and conduct interviews themselves. You’re also given access to an online networking platform to directly schedule appointments prior to the fair. The event lasts for a total of two days.

At SITEVI, wine growers and professionals from the three sectors come together to host special tasting sessions. These unique events aim to encourage dialogue and connection between amateurs, enthusiasts and experts alike, creating a friendly and welcoming environment. Hosting tastings is one of the exhibition’s cornerstones.

The previous edition, the French Institute for Wine and Vine, France Olive and the Union des Oenologues de France also teamed up to host a powerful lineup of workshops that examined the aromatic profiles of wines and olive oils. Each edition provides trade visitors a chance to learn from the best of the best.

Most notable examples include:

  • The taste of disease-resistant grape varieties
  • A crémant Tour de France
  • Discovering a new grape variety
  • Climate change resilient varieties
  • Can you spot the flaw?
  • Dealcoholisation: what method for what wine and what market
