About The Venue
Park Avenue Armory is one of New York’s avant-garde and leading venues. It is a historic building consisting of 55,000 square feet of open space, devoid of columns. The venue was built in 1861 and has been undergoing renovation since 2007. It has a capacity of 800 guests. Due to its historical importance, the venue is popular as an event location. For instance, Park Avenue Armory was the event site of the Red Bull Music Festival.

Park Avenue Armory was constructed in 1861 as a drill hall for the Seventh Regiment. Since its construction it has been a popular location for events. This includes the Commonwealth Society Ball attended by a young Queen Elizabeth II. The design of the building is the work of Charles Macdonald. The interior of both floors are the handiwork of prominent designers and artists of the time. For instance, Louis Comfort Tiffany and Stanford White designed several of the rooms. Since 2007, a comprehensive restoration project of the historic building has been underway. The project is still ongoing with the most recent phase occurring in 2016. The venue has an accommodation capacity of 800 standing guests.
