The Veltins Arena is one of Europe’s multifunctional arenas. It is a multi-purpose arena with a seating capacity of 61673 people. The venue opened in 2001 after the completion of a three-year construction plan. Originally, the venue was known as Schalke arena, yet in 2005 it has been renamed. The venue is popular for the hosting of both sport event and corporate ones. Notable examples of business events held at the arena include Elite Seminar Germany.
The Veltins Arena, also known as Schalke Arena, is multi-purpose arena which opened in 2001. It is situated in the Erle borough, several kilometres to the north of Gelsenkirchen. It is built near the old city stadium and was constructed as a larger alternative to the said stadium. The venue has a seating capacity of 61673 attendees and has been visited by over 30 million people. The venue can host a diverse range of events including exhibitions and trade fairs. This is due to the arena having the option to adjust the size of its meeting areas through several means. Such include a retractable roof, sliding pitch and others. Also, the arena has state-of-the-art equipment in all areas of the building.
