Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via will host Graphispag, the trade fair dedicated to the graphics and visual communication sector. This highly anticipated event will gather over 31,000 international professionals, showcasing the latest in printing technologies, design innovations, and industrial printing processes. Graphispag 2024 is set to offer an immersive experience, where attendees can explore cutting-edge machinery, equipment, and graphic finishes firsthand. The event will spotlight new materials and applications, demonstrating the immense potential of personalization in printed products.

This year, industrial printing will also take center stage, with a focus on emerging technologies in sectors such as construction, electronics, automotive, textiles, and packaging. For our second choice, we’re heading to Messe Essen, where SPIEL, the world’s largest public trade fair for board games, will once again take place. How has this trade fair earned this title? It’s quite simple. The six massive exhibition halls fit 935 exhibitors, over 1,750 new products and 193,000 visitors from 85 nations. It’s where tabletop gaming comes alive. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the hobby, the fair’s welcoming atmosphere invites you to dive right in. Friendly explainers will be on hand to guide players through new games, and renowned authors will be signing copies of their latest works, eager to meet their fans.

One of the highlights of SPIEL is the Meet & Play event, where visitors can connect with media representatives from the board game world. You’ll be chatting with journalists, bloggers, vloggers, and podcasters as this event fosters community engagement and provides a platform to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the gaming scene. For Warhammer enthusiasts, the Golden Demon painting competition is a must-see. This ultimate Warhammer painting contest attracts thousands of entries, with painters vying for the coveted Slayer Sword trophy.

Motek 2024: October 8th – 11th; Stuttgart, Germany

Motek is the world’s leading trade fair for production and assembly automation held at Messe Stuttgart, amassing over 890 international exhibitors and 34,000 visitors from across the globe. Motek has cemented itself as a key event for professionals in the manufacturing, automation, and industrial handling sectors as it showcases the entire value chain of production automation - assembly machines, industrial robots, robotic systems, grippers, and positioning systems.

The 2024 edition will feature the MicroSys Technology Park and the Mechatronics Theme Park, where attendees can deepen their knowledge of specialized areas of automation and production technology. Frankfurt Book Fair 2024: October 16th– 20th; Frankfurt, Germany

The Frankfurt Book Fair 2024 will once again reaffirm its status as the single most significant international gathering for the book and media industry. Hosted at Messe Frankfurt, this iconic event draws publishers, authors, literary agents, and book lovers from around the globe, making it the heart of the global literary world.

In 2023, the fair saw a record number of participants, with over 215,000 visitors from 130 countries, and more than 4,000 exhibitors from 95 countries. This year’s event is expected to surpass those numbers, continuing the fair's growth trajectory as an essential platform for the global exchange of ideas, culture, and stories. At the core of the fair is the Literary Agents & Scouts Centre (LitAg), the world’s largest rights centre, with 548 workstations and 324 agencies represented. LitAg provides a quiet, exclusive space for literary agents and scouts to negotiate book deals and explore international rights opportunities. Adjacent to LitAg is the Publishers Rights Centre (PRC), a vibrant hub where publishers work alongside agents, fostering collaboration and creativity.

Beyond the business of books, the Frankfurt Book Fair is known for its exciting and rich cultural programming that spans 2,600 events, including discussions, readings, and panels featuring leading authors, thinkers, and policymakers. Enlit 2024: October 22nd– 24th; Milan, Italy

Towards the end of the month, we have Enlit Europe at Fiera Milano Rho Pero in Milan, Italy, which enjoys a strong reputation within the global energy community. As one of the leading events of its kind, Enlit 2024 is expected to pull in 15,000 attendees, 700 international exhibitors, and 500 speakers. Enlit Europe provides an immersive, end-to-end look at the energy landscape, addressing the critical challenges and opportunities in digitalisation, decarbonisation, democratisation, and decentralisation.

A key highlight of the event are the high-level Summit sessions, where industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators will share insights on how to navigate the complex energy transition.
