We’re Closing Out the Year with These 5 Trade Fairs in December

2 Dec 2024

We’ve come to the finish line.

It’s December and we’re looking to rest, but that doesn’t mean there are no more trade fairs and exhibitions. These are the five events that will close out the year.

TRUSTECH 2024: December 3rd – 5th; Paris, France

TRUSTECH is the premier international event for professionals in the card, payment, and identification sectors held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. What appears to visitors is the level of internationality as 85% of exhibitors come from abroad. The show promises to deliver cutting-edge solutions, innovative technologies, and insightful discussions for a global audience.

One of the most highly anticipated moments of TRUSTECH 2024 will be the keynote address by Dr. Luc Julia. A trailblazer in human-computer interaction and a co-creator of Apple's Siri, Dr. Julia will challenge common misconceptions about AI in his talk, titled “There is no such thing as Artificial Intelligence.” He will outline AI's real potential, human-machine interfaces, and its future impact on connectivity.

The event’s conference schedule is packed with industry leaders discussing vital trends like instant payments, digital identities, AI, Web 3.0, and identity and access management (IAM). Experts from around the world, including Africa, Latin America, Japan, and the U.S., will share insights that you won’t find anywhere else. Now that’s exclusivity!

Automechanika Dubai 2024: December 10th – 12th; Dubai, UAE

Automechanika Dubai, the largest international trade exhibition for the automotive aftermarket industry in the Middle East, is gearing up for another groundbreaking edition in 2024. Following a record-breaking event last year that welcomed 52,082 trade visitors, a 21% increase from the previous year, the Dubai World Trade Centre will host close to 2000 exhibitors worldwide. The show has solidified its position as the go-to platform for the booming automotive aftermarket sector in the MENA region. The Innovation4Mobility zone, which will return in 2024, focuses on alternative fuel vehicles, driving technologies, digitization, and smart infrastructure, keeping sustainability at the forefront of discussions.

One of the key highlights is the National Electric Vehicles Policy, which is expected to take center stage. This policy, introduced by Eng. Somayyah Alyammahi from the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI), aims to support the UAE's objective of reducing energy consumption by 40% and carbon emissions by 404 kilotons by 2050. The event also promises to bring back fan favorites like the Pitstop Challenge, where participants test their skills in real-time, and the Automechanika Dubai Awards, recognizing the industry’s best performers.
