Industry Relevance
ShanghaiTex has a rich history dating back to 1984 when the very first edition of the International Exhibition on Textile Industry took place, and brought the latest in technology and trading to the forefront. Editions are held every two years at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and provide visitors with the full value of products, services and solutions. In 2021, organisers made the decision to change the format of the event to reflect the state of the world following the global pandemic.
ShanghaiTex 2021 was held as a hybrid show called “Textech Inno Week.” Along with the face-to-face activities and features, the trade fair also employed a variety of online tools to guarantee the promotion of knowledge and businesses. The focus of the event fell on smart manufacturing, sustainability, forefront technologies, new materials, and innovative designs. There’s a whole new generation of textile technologies to discover, which were highlighted in an online exhibition platform.
The full breadth of offerings includes digital printing machinery, fibre manufacturing machinery bleaching, dyeing, printing, finishing & making-up machinery, knitting & hosiery machinery, mill management instruments, machinery & accessories for apparel, non-woven fabric machinery, IT and software for the textile and garment machinery, spinning machinery, testing & measuring machinery, textile chemicals, warp-knitting, embroidery & weaving machinery, yarn twisters and winders.
ShanghaiTex is committed to pursuing better, greener and more efficient technologies in response to the call for climate neutral solutions. The textile and clothing industries are the second largest polluters in the world, so a lot of the focus of the trade show is on improving energy and resource management to diminish waste. In addition, the other major goal is to increase the quality of life and lifestyle. Textile and clothing are a daily presence in every person’s life and the organisers of ShanghaiTex believe in the power to transform the lifestyle of people.
Who Are You Going to Meet?
Eight national organisations, departments and associations generously lend their support to further develop and finance the show. This guarantees the presence of senior buyers and professionals at the height of their career. As an exhibitor, you have access to fantastic potential buyers from all over China.
Additional Value of Attending
The trade show keeps visitors, native and foreign, busy with a superb, dynamic support programme filled with paper presentations, product presentations, special days, showcases and forums.
