About The Venue

The Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Centre is among Scandinavia’s largest congress centres. It is a venue with a total event space of about 3874 m2 and a capacity of about 4227 people. It has 18 meeting areas and is visited by 500000 visitors every year. The has a car park with parking spaces for 700 cars. It has been a popular event site since its founding 1953. For instance, the DanFish International Fair takes place at this location. 

 The AKKC as it is often referred to was founded in 1953 after the burning down of the previous hall. Initially only the Aalborghallen was constructed in the mentioned year. The Europahallen was added in 1990. The venue underwent a renovation in 2002 during which the two main halls were connected. It was also during this renovation that the remaining meeting areas were also added.  The AKKC is Denmark’s only venue to have a DNV GL’s “Sustainable Development Goals Certification”. It is furthermore the sole Danish venue to havethe ISO 20121.
