The Adelaide Convention Centre or ACC is in the heart of the Adelaide Riverbank Precinct. It is among the world’s most advanced venues, especially after the 2010 redevelopment. Consisting of 3 distinct and integrated buildings with a total square space of 20 000 m2 the ACC is a key location in Australia’s Convention City. The Adelaide Convention Centre is host to many noteworthy expositions. Among them is the Health, Wellness & Fitness Expo. Another notable example is the Educate Plus International Conference.
The ACC consists of three distinct yet integrated buildings. Of them, the East building is popular as an event site as it can accommodate more than 3000 people. This is due to the Plenary including in its design a combination of rotating seating drums, hinged seating, and portable walls. This allows hosts to configure the location based on their needs. The Adelaide Convention Centre is a venue dedicated to supporting South Australian producers. A prime example of this dedication is that 97% of the produce purchased for event catering comes from local suppliers. The ACC also enjoys long-standing partnerships with Foodbank, OzHarvest, and Variety SA. The venue is furthermore determined to apply the Environment and Social Sustainability Policy whenever possible. Similarly, it is also intent on committing to the Fair Trade Principles. The venue is accessible from Adelaide Airport in 16 mins via car.
