One of Chicago's iconic buildings is the Merchandise Mart Expo Center. It was founded in 1930 and receives about 10 million visitors every year. It has 372 000 m2 of gross floor space and 25 floors. At present, it is one of the leading commercial buildings in the world. It is also one of the premier event venues of the USA, with notable events, including the NeoCon and the ICFA. 

The Merchandise Mart Expo Centre spans 2 city blocks with 372 000 m2 of gross floor space. The building has 25 floors and is constructed in the art déco style. Upon its completion in 1930, it was the world’s largest building. It is one of the world’s leading commercial centres, with many companies renting offices. In 2007, the venue received the LEED Silver Certification. Said certification was upgraded to Gold in 2013 and 2018. The venue also has a convenient location as it is close to O’Hare Airport.
