NRW-Forum

The NRW Forum is one of Düsseldorf’s notable museums and event venues. It is a cultural institution focused on the development and economy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The venue can be found in the Ehrenhof Complex. Since its opening in the 1970s the venue has been the hosting site of many notable events and exhibitions including the Tanzmesse.

The NRW Forum opened in the 1970s in the same building as the Kunstpalast, an art museum. Originally, the venue was known as the Museum fur Industrie and Wirtschaft (Museum for Industry and Economy). However, in the 1990s the location changed its name to its present name. During this time, it has also changed the concept behind its displays. All displays became temporary, changing every few months or weeks rather than half being permanent. The venue can be reached in about 15 minutes from Düsseldorf Airport by car.
