Sandringham Estate is a 20000-acre estate in Norfolk, England. It is a little over 100 miles north of London. The estate is the private home of the royal family, particularly of Queen Elizabeth II. The country home is popular as both a tourist attraction and an event venue. For instance, the site is the hosting place of the iconic Sandringham Flower Show. It is also the location of the Sandringham Food, Craft and Wood Festival. The Sandringham Game and Country Fair is likewise held at this estate.
Sandringham Estate was built in 1870, although the site had been a private estate before that. The residence is part of the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. It is the means of living for over 200 people. The professions of the workers include gamekeepers, gardeners, farmers, and others. Strong emphasis is placed on conservation, recycling, forestry, and protection of wildlife. The royal family also invests quite a bit in supporting local farms and small businesses. The estate can be reached from King’s Lynn Railway Station and London Stansted Airport.
