The town itself is known as a tourist destination, and doesn’t have its own clothing industry, but enjoys the status of a meeting place for industry professionals during the joint event. Expo Riva Schuh shares the stage with Gardabags, the definitive leader in leather goods and accessories, and together they've created a large, dedicated community of exhibitors and trade visitors. This collaboration has fostered innovation and creativity in both the footwear and fashion accessories industries. The organizers of Expo Riva Schuh are always looking for ways to improve the experience for buyers and exhibitors. In its most recent edition, they have introduced two new initiatives: Market Focus and Trends Focus. Market Focus is an initiative that’s designed to facilitate agile meetings between exhibitors and buyers. Buyers had an exclusive and confidential meeting time with a limited number of exhibitors that they may not have planned to meet. The focus fell on Latin America, the Far East, Kenya, Northern Europe and the United States, with an additional focus on Bags and Fashion Accessories. Trend Focus, meanwhile, coordinated by journalist Claudia Schulz, provided buyers with useful pointers on the latest trends for the DACH market (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The organizers also continueа to focus on the theme of retail innovation.
