Why Your Visit Is Worth It?

ICE Europe excels as a cross-border procurement platform that connects exhibitors to international buyers from all over Europe. Since the trade fair takes place once every two years, you don’t spend too much to attend, but still benefit from the quality of sales leads. Product releases are big earners and exhibitors wait until ICE Europe to schedule new product launches.

The trade fair delivers a good turnout especially since its paired with CCE International and InPrint Munich:

  • 500+ international exhibitors
  • 10,600+ combined international trade visitors
  • 12,500 sq. metres of exhibition space

Industry Relevance

ICE Europe was founded in 1999 as a launch pad for new solutions and technologies in the field of paper, film and foil converting. The trade fair comes around every two years in Much, Germany and shares the exhibition halls of Messe München with CCE International, Europe’s key event for the corrugated and folding carton industry, and InPrint Munich, Europe’s flagship event of the InPrint brand for the printing industry. Together they create the perfect environment for experts, professionals and buyers working in printing to gather under one roof. Buyers value ICE Europe, because it provides access to the entire value chain.

Exhibitors showcase a great variety in materials, products and services. Trade visitors gain a full overview of coating, laminating, drying, curing, slitting, rewinding, flexographic and rotogravure printing, waste removal, recycling, retrofitting, machine updates, film extrusion and special films. Buyers have no reason to attend any other trade fair since they can place all their orders in a single place. When you look at the ICE Europe product portfolio, you get a clear sense of the futures of emerging technologies and market trends.

“ICE Europe is definitely the place to be, as it’s the only key exhibition of its kind in the converting industry. There is no other event like it that provides this level of high-quality networking opportunities. The show attracts specialists from a wide range of sectors ranging anywhere from packaging, printing, plastics all the way to engineering, medical and many more,” explains Patrick Herman, Event Director of the Converting, Paper and Print Events, on behalf of Mack-Brooks Exhibitions.

Progress is one of the big goals at ICE Europe. The trade fair follows hot topics such as efficiency, productivity, automation, digitalisation, and sustainability. Visitors get to experience equipment and solutions in action as part of live presentations, and learn from experts as part of the technical in-person discussions.

Who Are You Going to Meet?

When it comes to the exhibitor list, you’ll showcase side by side with established brands and fresh newcomers - Windmöller & Hölscher, Tecnocut, Baldwin Technology, Countroll, Lemorau, Dürr Systems, Shandong HOACO Automation Technology, Hammer-IMS and Vickers Blades. Most exhibitors are based in Germany, though the number of foreign companies is growing steadily. The same applies to trade visitors. You have a great concentration of buyers from Germany, then followed by France, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, Italy, Norway and Sweden.

ICE Europe pulls in industry experts from a number of unrelated sectors, which helps exhibitors grow their professional networks and diversify their clients. Trade visitors come from packaging, printing, plastics, textiles and nonwovens, paper, engineering, chemicals, medical and pharma, foods, automotive, aviation, agriculture, recycling, construction and electronics.

When it comes to professional backgrounds, most trade visitors are also decision makers in their companies and organisations. Managing directors, company owners, directors, senior engineers and CEOs regularly attend to keep their fingers on the pulse of what’s happening in the industry. The other half of the audience consists of plant and technical managers, who want to learn about what’s now coming onto the market.

Additional Value of Attending

The ceremony for the ICE Awards is always a highlight and an anticipated moment, because you’re able to learn who the top tier exhibitors are that will win the coveted award. Voting for the 2023 awards is now open and anyone can participate. It’s truly the community’s choice, which gives winners another boost of confidence and visibility. As an exhibitor, winning translates to increase in exposure, interest from qualified buyers and a boost in overall sales numbers.

Companies compete in three categories: ‘Digital Converting Solutions’, ‘Sustainable Products and Converting Processes’, and ‘Efficient Production Solutions’.
