Messe Munich

Munich Trade Fair (Messe München in German) is a recent addition to the city having been built over the course of a four years between 1994 until 1998, and as such brings in a distinctly modern architecture and facilities. The exhibition grounds should not be confused with the company that is in charge of event organisation, which has existed since 1964 and has had a hand in hosting some of the biggest events in Germany history including the 1972 German Olympics. There are 200,000 m² spread over 18 halls in total and an atrium connected by a hall. Visitors have access to 50 meeting rooms as well. The outdoor area is even bigger and includes 425,000 m² and its own lake, which runs 390 metres long and varies from 46 metres to 94 metres in width.

As you can imagine, exhibition grounds as large as there do not stay vacant long. Messe München organises a series of highly successful trade shows and exhibitions, which have a strong impact on a global level. You are likely to recognize names like bauma, IBA, Drinktec, Ceramitec, transport logistic, BAU, electronica / HYBRIDICA, IFAT, ISPO Munich, productronica, inter airport Europe and EXPO REAL. In total, there are 250 guest events taking place over the course of just one calendar year, turning Messe München into one of the busiest exhibition centres worldwide. Another important fact we want to highlight is that the grounds are also a pioneer in implementing environmental and climate control protection.
