Berlin Central Station – not advisable
The Berlin Brandenburg Airport is one of Germany’s international airports. It is the primary airport servicing Berlin and the surrounding Brandenburg State. It is a massive airport with a total space of 1470 hectares which took 14 years to be constructed. Furthermore, it is also one of Europe and Germany’s most active airports. The BBI as it is often called is also often used as an event venue. For instance, ILA is hosted at this location.
Berlin Brandenburg Airport was constructed to substitute the Tempelhof, Tegel, and Schoenfeld airports. This was necessary as the three airports could no longer support the amount of traffic which passed through the State and the capital. Initially, the airport was to open in 2011 after the completion of the 5-year construction project started in 2006. However, due to certain setbacks, the project was delayed until 2020. The airport has 1470 hectares of space and a capacity of accommodating up to 34 million passengers per year.
