Dubai World Central (DWC) is an airport and purpose-built venue. It opened for cargo operations in 2010 and for passenger flights in 2013. The airport is still undergoing construction, with the expected year of completion - 2027. At present, it has a capacity of 5-7 million passengers. The airport is both a popular airport terminal and the hosting site of MEBAA and DUBAI AIRSHOW.
The DWC has an extensive exhibition hall and event space. It can accommodate up to 16 pavilions and more than 84 000 visitors. The venue also has an area which can be used for static displays, with ample space for over 161 planes. The airport has ample parking space. It can be reached from Dubai International Airport in 45 minutes. The Dubai World Central continues to undergo expansion and construction. When completed, it should have a capacity to handle around 160 million passengers yearly.
