Hillhead Quarry

Hillhead Quarry has been the hosting site of major construction and quarrying events since 1983. It is a limestone quarry consisting of approximately 175 000 m2 of fenced land. 105 000 m2 of this space is dedicated to outdoor areas for displays where various equipment and structures are displayed. Another 35 000 m2 of the available space is allocated to live demonstrations areas.  The venue has 4 such areas: Processing Demo, Recycling Demo, Quarry Face, and Registration Demo. The venue in total has 8 meeting areas. These are the 4 mentioned demonstration areas, the 2 Pavilions, the “Ramp” and the Quarry Floor.
