Among USA's leading and largest event venue is McCormick Place. It is a premier event complex consisting of 4 buildings with a total of 248,000 m2 of event space. The venue has approximately 180 meeting areas. It was built in 1958 and opened in 1960, with expansions taking place between 1986 and 2017. Since its opening, the complex has been a popular location for corporate event such as Fabtech and AHR Expo.

McCormick Place has a total of 180 meeting areas distributed between 4 buildings. The buildings are known as the West, South and North Buildings, and the Lakeside Centre. Within these buildings is a total of 173 meeting areas with 55 742 m2 of event space. There are also 4 ballrooms, an assembly area and 4 theatres. Between 1 951 m2 and 9 230 m2 are the square meterage of the ballrooms. The venue also includes an arena which can accommodate up to 10 000 people, while the assembly area has a capacity of 18 000. The complex has access to 6,000 parking spaces.
