About The Venue
Piers 92 and 94 are one of New York’s main trade show and special event venues. They are situated in a central location within Midtown Manhattan. Comprised of 208000 square feet of exhibit area, the piers provide all that organisers need to host a high-profile event. The site is a popular hosting site for important events such as the Armory Show and Architectural Digest Home Design Show.
Piers 92 and 94 along with piers 88, and 90 were constructed and opened in 1935. Initially the location was used for the docking and service of ships, a purpose still served by pier 88 and 90. The location was rebuilt in 1970 as both a means to remove extensive damage and improve the servicing abilities of the piers. Yet, with time some piers had to be decommissioned. This included 92 and 94 which were sold as 208,000 square feet of exhibition space. Besides the impressive amount of exhibition space, the venue provides spacious parking. Piers 92 and 94 are 30 minutes car drive from Newark Liberty International Airport. They are about 35 minutes’ walk from Grand Central Station.
