Tokyo International Exhibition Centre (Tokyo Big Sight) is Japan's largest event venue. It is a convention complex with 115,420 m2 of event space distributed between 40 meeting areas. Inaugurated in 1996 the venue was to act as the hosting site of the 2020 Summer Olympics. Tokyo Big Sight hosts around 300 events every year and is visited by 14 million people every year. These include Lifestyle Week, Interior Lifestyle Tokyo, Japan IT Week, and Beautyworld Japan.
Tokyo Big Sight has a total of 40 meeting areas and an approximate capacity of 138000 people. These meeting areas include 24 conference rooms. The rooms are in an 8-storey conference tower. The tower, also, serves as the icon of the entire venue. Additionally, there are 17 exhibition areas. 16 of these areas are halls distributed between 3 buildings. The 17th exhibition area is the rooftop of the West Exhibition Hall. The venue has around 1450 parking spaces with the option of extending to 1932.
