Upcoming Trade Shows Taipei, Taiwan for Embedded Systems

COMPUTEX, a cornerstone event in the global tech industry, functions as a calling card and a showcase for the capabilities of the embedded systems industry in Taipei. Known for its extensive history since its inception in 1981, COMPUTEX has grown to become the largest computer trade show in Asia. This year’s InnoVEX, the dedicated startup exhibition area at COMPUTEX, set a new record for the number of participating countries. The event showcased the creativity and ingenuity of startups from around the globe, with seven national pavilions and numerous major acceleration and incubation units participating. The startups displayed cutting-edge applications of AI technology across diverse fields from healthcare and manufacturing to sports, pets, and tourism. Taiwan’s StarFab Accelerator, the largest industrial accelerator in the country, brought together startups focused on AIoT, 5G, XR, embedded systems and other advanced technologies, playing up Taiwan’s leading position in technological innovation. The InnoVEX startup competition was a major highlight, with the first prize awarded to Taiwan Polymer Material Company for their R-ESG-Rubber, which converts waste tires into high-value recycled rubber materials. This innovation meets the industry’s demand for sustainable solutions and highlights the critical intersection of technology and environmental responsibility. For the first time ever, COMPUTEX introduced the Sustainable Design Award; an addition that opens further conversations around the importance of sustainability in technology. In terms of winners, the duo ASUS and Acer walked away with the silver award, while BenQ Qisda Group beat the rest of the competition for the gold. Special jury awards were given to Transcend Information and Wiwynn Corporation. COMPUTEX 2024 also emphasized cross-industry cooperation to make technology more humane. The Sunnyhills Hospitality Lounge, built to resemble a physical store, provided hot tea and pineapple cakes to VIPs, showcasing Taiwan’s renowned hospitality. The co-branded products of plain-me and Guaiguai attracted significant attention as they rewarded local and international visitors to a unique cultural experience.
