The 2021 version showed over 350 brands and over 500 boats. This included over 30 new debuts on the marina or on land. Despite travel restrictions and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, more than 88,000 visitors participated in the edition. This demonstrated the importance of the event for the industry and the public. The 2021 edition of Southampton Boat Show included many new changes such as a new event layout, 5 dedicated zones and a larger footprint. Among the new areas, which attracted many participants, was the Dinghy Zone, where the British Olympic sailing team was located.
