About The Venue

One of Shanghai’s leading event venues is the Shanghai New International Expo. It is the only Sino-German event site and is in the heart of Shanghai. It is attended by over 7 million visitors every year and consists of 300 000 m2 of exhibition space. The SNIEC has partnerships with 3 of Germany’s leading trade fair companies. The venue is the hosting site of many notable fairs since its opening in 2001. Such include international events SIAL China, THERMMOTEC, and BIOTEC.

The SNIEC was founded in 2001. It consists of 300 000 m2 of event space, with 100 000 m2 being outdoors. The remaining 200 000 m2 is distributed between 17 exhibition halls and 3 entrance halls. There are additionally 51 meeting rooms. All spaces of the venue are flexible. This allows different configurations to be made depending on the needs of the organisers. The venue also has spacious parking for up to 4730 cars.
