The health industry in Karlsruhe presents professionals with opportunities to expand their skillset and knowledge in the fields of rehabilitation, therapy and inclusion thanks to the presence of the REHAB trade fair. On a regular basis, the event attracts 12,000 visitors including professionals, individuals with disabilities, and their families. The fair showcases the latest advancements in living aids and rehabilitation technology, reflecting the ongoing evolution in the healthcare sector. REHAB, now a key fair in its 40th year, is celebrated for its comprehensive display of innovations across the fields of rehabilitation, orthopaedics, medical treatment, care, and therapy. Held in three fully accessible halls, the 2024 edition featured 300 exhibitors from 17 countries, offering a diverse array of technical solutions and support services. The event’s emphasis on inclusivity was evident in its layout and the broad spectrum of products and services on display. The success of the event was underscored by positive feedback from attendees. The fair not only provided a platform for exploring cutting-edge technologies but also facilitated valuable personal consultations and advice through self-help groups and specialized advisory services. REHAB’s significance extends beyond its halls. The fair is where interdisciplinary dialogue can happen, bringing together various stakeholders in the living aids sector. According to the visitor survey, more than two-thirds of attendees exclusively visit REHAB, highlighting its unique position as a primary destination for insights and networking in this field. The fair also coincided with two major industry conferences: the CON.THERA conference and the 47th professional development conference of the German Association of Bobath Therapists. These events attracted over 300 experts from Germany and neighboring countries, underscoring the importance of collaborative learning and professional development in therapy. Looking ahead, REHAB will return in its usual cycle in May of 2025.
