Upcoming Trade Shows Karlsruhe, Germany for Logistics & Transportation

The logistics and transportation industry in Karlsruhe has entered a new era thanks to the joint efforts behind the Karlsruhe Mobility Lab, which was first presented at IT-TRANS 2024. As a significant highlight at the global exhibition, the lab united the city’s top mobility innovators to showcase pioneering solutions and projects focused on advancing public transportation and logistics. At the dm-arena Stand Y3, visitors explored live presentations, project insights, and even tested new mobility solutions in a hands-on experience. The Karlsruhe Mobility Lab, supported by partners such as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), KAMO (Karlsruhe Mobility High Performance Center), the FZI Research Center for Information Technology, and the German Centre for Future Mobility, is showcasing a suite of cutting-edge projects. Aiming to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity of transportation in urban and rural areas, the Mobility Lab is focused on a range of innovations that underscore Karlsruhe’s role as a leader in smart mobility solutions. The Karlsruhe Mobility Lab will also showcase projects from the German Centre for Future Mobility (DZM), a collaborative alliance with Hamburg, Minden, and Annaberg-Buchholz. This partnership will present solutions like on-demand shuttle transport, which aims to make public transit more flexible, especially in rural regions. Additionally, KAMO will present advanced concepts for autonomous driving and intermodal transport, further highlighting the city’s strides in the realm of automated and connected transportation. The FZI Research Center has made a big contribution to Karlsruhe’s logistics and transportation industry by introducing the concept of “smart bus stops” at IT-TRANS 2024. These stops will be equipped with sensors that communicate with automated shuttles. Using data-driven AI, this system improves the scalability and safety of automated transport vehicles, while optimising urban infrastructure for smoother integration of autonomous solutions.
