Upcoming Trade Shows Shanghai, China for Mining

bauma CHINA 2026, Shanghai, China
24 - 27 Nov 2026
Shanghai connects the domestic mining industry with the rest of the world through the highly successful bauma CHINA. Today’s era necessitates global interconnectedness and the Chinese market comes out to play during this landmark event. The 2024 edition shattered attendance records with 281,488 trade visitors, over 20% of whom traveled from overseas. This figure marks a significant increase compared to 2018.
Among the top 10 visitor countries were Russia, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and Japan, reflecting the global interest in China’s rapidly growing construction and mining machinery industry. The event’s international participation also highlighted its strategic role in fostering collaboration between global markets and China, particularly amid initiatives like the ""Belt and Road"" project, Saudi Arabia’s ""Vision 2030"" infrastructure investments, and Indonesia’s accelerated mining plan. These initiatives are driving robust demand for advanced construction and mining machinery across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other Belt and Road regions. As a result, Shanghai becomes an invaluable hub for the mining industry in Chian.
A major highlight of bauma CHINA 2024 was its focus on innovation, particularly in intelligent management and new energy solutions. Two thematic areas dedicated to these advancements drew significant attention, showcasing how the industry is tackling contemporary challenges and adapting to future demands. Forums accompanying the exhibition explored topics like sustainability, intelligent integration, and new energy cooperation, emphasizing the critical role of cutting-edge technology in reshaping the mining sector.
Yang Chengjian, Global Senior Vice President of Caterpillar, applauded the exhibition’s scope, saying, “bauma CHINA provides an excellent platform for showcasing innovative products, services, and solutions that address the industry’s present and future needs.” These sentiments were echoed by Ma Ji, General Manager of Marketing and Sales of Cummins (China), who described the event as “a grand occasion” with unparalleled international participation.
