Upcoming Trade Shows Bremen, Germany for Building & Construction

You can confidently say that Bremen’s building and construction industry manages to navigate a fairly challenging economic landscape with a relative ease. Germany’s building sector has been in a bit of a rut, but Bremen stands out as a coveted destination for real estate and construction projects. In 2022, the city greenlit construction on numerous high-profile projects that will greatly improve the town’s reputation. Situated in Bremen's GVZ freight centre, BLG Logistics' cutting-edge 82,500 square meter logistics hub redefines industry benchmarks. Boasting advanced infrastructure with robotics and digitized processes, the company prioritized sustainability. An expansive 80,000 square meter photovoltaic array, thermal insulation, EV charging stations and a rainwater capture tank align with eco-conscious construction. The facility includes green spaces, fruit trees, and a wildflower meadow, providing employees with outdoor retreats and well-lit workspaces. A distinctive presence in Bremen's Neustadt district, the modern apartment block by GEWOBA AG flaunts green tiles and a unique seven-corner design. Standing out amidst clinker brick buildings, it houses 52 fully accessible one-to-three room apartments on Hohentorsplatz. Featuring commercial spaces on the ground floor, solar panels for carbon-neutral electricity, and a communal heating plant, the block's architectural allure comes from Hild und K Architekten in Munich. The pre-opening phase was in late 2021, with full completion in 2022. Finally, we have to highlight the Vocational School's New Building in the New Harbour District that successfully launched a new era in Bremen’s education landscape. The vocational school's new building adapts to the evolving world of work. Replacing traditional classrooms with flexible niches and seating areas, the school allows students to learn at their own pace in small groups equipped with smartboards for digital coursework. Designed by Schröder Architekten, the institute hosts around 1800 students. What threads all these projects together is the adoption of sustainable practices and digital tools like Building Information Modeling (BIM).
