Upcoming Trade Shows Hannover, Germany for Hunting

For over four decades, Pferd & Jagd has been one of the pillars of hunting and riding in Germany and chief contributor to Hannover’s hunting industry. Enthusiasts and professionals alike return edition after edition pulled by the dynamic blend of equestrian culture and hunting traditions. The event has been running since 1981 and during its running has evolved into Europe's largest trade fair for horseback riding, hunting, nature and dogs. In a bold move to better cater to the diverse interests of its audience, Pferd & Jagd will undergo a transformation by splitting into two independent events. The inaugural Passion Horse trade fair, set to debut December 5th - 8th 2024, will offer a dedicated platform for riders, horse lovers and country life enthusiasts. This new venture will feature a captivating lineup of shows, forums, expert talks, live demos and influencer meetings. Organisers promise an immersive experience for all attendees across eight sprawling halls. Simultaneously, a new hunting and fishing trade fair is slated to launch in October 2025 as a way to address the longstanding demand from the hunting community for a dedicated event outside the traditional December timeframe. By accommodating this shift, organisers aim to provide hunters with a tailored platform to explore the latest trends, products and techniques in their field. The decision to separate Pferd & Jagd has garnered widespread support from industry stakeholders such as prominent associations like the Hanover Equestrian Sports Association, which has been lobbying for a separate trade fair that’s specifically geared towards the needs of the equestrian community, which has been historically underserved. The president of the association, Alexandra Duesmann, lauded the move, emphasizing its potential to deliver an unparalleled experience for horse lovers and equestrian enthusiasts, allowing the topic of horses to be celebrated in all its multifaceted glory.
