Upcoming Trade Shows Hannover, Germany for Metal Working Industries

In Hannover, the metalworking industry is able to continue its growth and extend its reach to the rest of Europe thanks to the ever increasing popularity of EMO 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for production technology, which is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Established in 1975, EMO has consistently connected international metalworking professionals and presented cutting-edge technology. Under the motto “Innovate Manufacturing,” EMO has long held a strong reputation for advancing global metalworking. At the most recent event in 2023, over 92,000 visitors from 140 countries gathered to see the innovations of around 1,850 exhibitors from 45 countries, including China, Italy, Japan, and Switzerland. A third of the attendees came from Asia, highlighting the fair’s global reach. The 2023 fair provided a crucial platform for face-to-face interaction following a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Spread across 15 halls, EMO 2023 offered a comprehensive look at the latest advancements in automation, digitalization, and sustainability in manufacturing. Since its first edition, EMO’s evolution reflects the growing importance of global collaboration in production technology. By 1981, only six years after launching, the trade fair had already grown to more than 140,000 square metres, attracting exhibitors from 21 countries outside of Western Europe. The 1985 fair expanded further, and now, four decades later, EMO continues to set attendance records, facilitate international exchange and strengthen Hannover’s metalworking industry position on the global scene. The 2025 edition is expected to build on EMO’s strong legacy by focusing on the top priorities in modern metalworking: automation, sustainability, and digitalization. Industry leaders view participation as essential, as EMO offers unrivalled networking and business opportunities.
