The home and lifestyle industry in Hannover meets every year in January when DOMOTEX opens its doors for business. Local brands line up side by side with international exhibitors to display the entire spectrum of carpets and floor coverings. The numbers tell a truly compelling story with approximately 1,000 exhibitors from 60 countries, showcasing a wide range of cutting-edge products and setting the tone for the year ahead in the flooring industry. The high level of international participation and visitor quality left exhibitors highly satisfied. The 2024 edition saw DOMOTEX expand its scope with the introduction of products for walls and ceilings in the new RETAILERS' PARK. This addition, organized in collaboration with DECOR UNION and MEGA Gruppe, included paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other interior finishing materials. Visitor surveys revealed that one in three participants showed specific interest in the new special show, leading organisers to consider further expanding the portfolio to include more products for interior finishing in future editions. The 2024 edition also emphasized the megatrends of sustainability and circular economy. The keynote theme, FLOORED BY NATURE, was particularly highlighted at THE GREEN COLLECTION, featuring extraordinary presentations of sustainable and environmentally friendly products. This included a tactile presentation of sustainable materials and the latest research projects from the German Research Institute for Floor Systems (TFI) Aachen. In addition to the innovative displays, DOMOTEX 2024 offered a diverse supporting program with conferences, live presentations, and award ceremonies, providing numerous opportunities for networking and professional development. The event once again solidified its position as the central hub for the flooring industry and a vital driver of economic activity for the home and lifestyle industry in Hannover.
