About The Venue

Westfalenhallen Dortmund is a cluster of multi-purpose venues. It consists of three buildings with a total event space of 60000 m2 distributed between 9 exhibition halls and an entrance. The total capacity of the Westfalenhallen is 16500 people. The venue is visited by about 1.7 million visitors every year. The venue has been hosting important events since 1925 with the occasional interruption. Notable examples include the events Best Of Events International, Inter Tabac and Jagd & Hund.

The Westfalenhallen consist of three buildings. The original building was constructed in 1925 and opened in the same year as the hosting site for important trade fairs. However, it was destroyed in 1944. This led to the need for a new building, the Grosse Westfalenhalle to be built in 1952. The original building was rebuilt shortly after. The Kleiner Westfalenhalle was also constructed around this time. In total the venues have 9 exhibition halls and access to over 1000 parking spaces.
