Upcoming Trade Shows Lyon, France for Swimming Pools

Piscine Global Europe 2026, Lyon, France
17 - 20 Nov 2026
Piscine Global remains the perfect occasion for France’s swimming pool industry to meet in Lyon. In the decades since this highly regarded trade fair rose on scene, the city has somewhat become associated with leisure, wellness and swimming pools. Yes, sustainability and water waste remain relevant topics at the fair given how climate change causes more and more draughts, but there’s another more pressing concern in recent years: the lack of a skilled workforce. Under the banner “Feel the New Shapes of Water,” the 2024 edition placed strong emphasis on the human capital behind the scenes of an industry that is becoming more technically demanding and increasingly reliant on multi-disciplinary expertise. From home automation and water treatment to sustainable construction and new sales strategies, today’s pool professionals are expected to master a complex and evolving skill set.
To meet this challenge, Piscine Global expanded its Pool Campus, which is an interactive space dedicated to recruitment, training and vocational growth. Organizers team up with several reputable institutions (CAP Formations Piscines from Gratentour, Lycée professionnel Léon Chiris from Grasse, and CFA UFA from Douai) to deliver a comprehensive educational program. These institutions are shaping the next generation of pool builders and technicians, equipping them with the practical and theoretical skills demanded by modern clients and companies alike. Participants could explore new career paths, upskilling opportunities, and find direct links to the growing number of institutions offering recognised certifications in pool-related trades.
Perhaps an incentive for prospective newcomers to join the industry, the trade fair plays host to the “Best Apprentices in France” competition, which demonstrates how versatile and challenging the job can be. The finalists, drawn from a pool of approximately fifty apprentice, were tasked with constructing a complete filtration system under strict technical conditions. The following day, their knowledge of water treatment principles was put to the test in front of a panel of judges.
