Upcoming Trade Shows Düsseldorf, Germany for Franchising
EuroShop 2026, Düsseldorf, Germany
22 - 26 Feb 2026
EuroShop, the world’s largest trade fair for retail investment needs, is where the larger community of the franchising industry in Düsseldorf meets up in a productive environment that stimulates a lot of important conversations and position the newest innovations in front of an audience that in 2023 exceeded 81,000 professionals. The fair establishes Düsseldorf as a pivotal location in the global retail landscape. Dating back to the 1960s, EuroShop has chronicled the entire evolution of consumerism from the rise of supermarkets and department stores to the advent of malls. Held every three years, the trade fair allows exhibitors to adapt to industry and technological changes.
EuroShop 2023 highlighted several key trends that are set to influence the franchising industry in Düsseldorf. The event was organized around eight main product ranges, known as Dimensions, covering the full value chain: Shop Fitting & Store Design, Retail Technology & EuroCIS, Lighting, POP Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Food Service Equipment, Refrigeration & Energy Management, and Expo & Event Marketing. This comprehensive approach ensures that franchisors and franchisees are exposed to the latest innovations and can leverage targeted sales leads. A significant attraction at EuroShop 2023 was the Future Urban Lab, an interactive area where visitors could evaluate innovative trends shaping the future of city centers. The lab focused on five key areas: quality of stay, shopping experience, digitization, mobility, and sustainability. Visitors from around the world used colored Lego bricks to vote on 15 innovative trends, providing a unique and engaging method to capture diverse perspectives.
The survey results lay bare the necessity of sustainability as was seen with the popularity of ‘renaturation of concrete deserts,’ which topped the list with 1,350 votes. The vision of the ‘inner city as an extended living room’ and the ‘sponge city principle’ to enhance natural urban water cycles followed closely.
