Upcoming Trade Shows Madrid, Spain for Electric & Electronics
MATELEC 2025, Madrid, Spain
18 - 20 Oct 2025
In a significant development for Madrid’s electronics industry, Frenetic, a trailblazer in custom magnetics technology, has announced a €11.2 million Series A funding round led by Kibo Ventures. Multiple other existing investors – 42Cap, Join Capital, Bankinter, Bonsai, and Big Sur – have also pooled their resources, which bumped up the initial investment to a total of €17.7 million. The new funds are earmarked for an ambitious manufacturing project, the opening of an office in Silicon Valley, and the expansion of Frenetic’s presence in the US market.
At the core of every power supply lies magnetics, a critical component whose conventional design approach has historically relied on trial and error. This traditional method often results in a laborious and lengthy design process, taking up to nine months. Frenetic has revolutionized this approach by applying cutting-edge science and artificial intelligence to the design and production of magnetics. The result is an impressive threefold increase in design accuracy and a significant reduction in design time to just one week. Frenetic has already garnered collaborations with several global-leading manufacturers. Among these partners is Thales Alenia Space, which has integrated Frenetic’s magnetics into the International Space Station.
Customers are able to order a physical magnet, which can then be validated by an engineering team before prototyping. The platform offers thousands of combinations of topologies, shapes, and materials for users to incorporate into their designs. Available through a SaaS and licensing model, this platform exemplifies Frenetic’s innovative edge in the industry. Frenetic, founded in Madrid, has expanded its operations with offices in Spain, Germany, and a research center in Switzerland. The new office in California will further strengthen its global footprint. As part of its US expansion, Frenetic will also grow its team and is already working on a groundbreaking project to be unveiled at CES next year.
