Switzerland’s position as the fourth-largest importer of jewelry globally cements its status as a very sought-after business partners. Key import markets include France, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Among these, it was the United States, France and Qatar were identified as the fastest-growing import markets within the 2021 – 2022 period. However, despite robust import figures, 2022 saw a decline in jewelry exports for the first time since 2017, ending a four-year upward trend. While export volumes fluctuated throughout the analyzed period, the overall trend indicated measured expansion.
