As a global player in the beauty industry, Italy relies on its power as an exporter and not a small effort is placed in augmenting the strength of Italian-made labels – a strategy that’s worked plenty of times with specialty foods and luxury goods. The city that does the most to shape the narrative of the country’s narrative in the eyes of the world is Bologna in its function as host of Cosmoprof Bologna. The prestigious event is held in partnership with Cosmetica Italia and its goal is simple – elevate the work and achievements of Italian cosmetics companies.
Most recently, the trade fair saw the presentation of the book ‘La vera bellezza’ (True Beauty) by the Network of Masters in Cosmetology, endorsed by Cosmetica Italia. This unique book emerges from an educational project that addresses contemporary themes highly relevant to cosmetic companies, often brought to the public's attention from a scientific standpoint. The project engages students from eight higher education courses, under the guidance of their directors, to explore and clarify these preconceived notions.
For the second consecutive year, ‘La forza e il sorriso’ (The Strength and the Smile) graces the Service Centre (C/D blocks) at the heart of the event. This charitable initiative, Beauty Gives Back, presented by Boutique, Cosmoprof's charity corner, allows visitors to exchange small donations for a wide array of beauty products. All proceeds from this initiative will support free beauty workshops offered to women undergoing cancer treatment. These workshops are organized by a non-profit organization with the patronage of Cosmetica Italia, aimed at bringing smiles and confidence to many brave individuals.
The Accademia del Profumo, with 30 years of rich history, takes its place at the Service Centre (Block D). At this year's event, they will unveil the captivating story of olfactory, cultural, and social evolution in the world of perfumes.
