The UAE's beauty buyers are a diverse group, with an equal split between online and in-store shopping preferences among women. This indicates a unique opportunity for beauty brands to engage their audiences more effectively by offering consistent deals both online and in-store and enhancing the retail experience to attract shoppers. Research revealed that wealthier demographics are keen on researching products online before making in-store purchases, with nearly 8 out of 10 shoppers earning 25,000 dirhams or more per month opting for this approach. One of the leading players in the beauty industry, L'Oréal Middle East, has recognized this trend. Since 2018, the company has embraced the growing direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce model. This shift allows brands to forge stronger connections with their customers, personalize the online shopping experience and stay at the forefront of the UAE's evolving beauty landscape.
