Upcoming Trade Shows in UAE for Renewable Energies
ADIPEC 2025, Abu Dhabi, UAE
3 - 6 Nov 2025
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is making significant strides in its renewable energies industry, driven by its ambitious UAE Energy Strategy 2050. This forward-thinking plan aims to create a balanced energy mix, incorporating 44% clean energy, 38% gas, 12% clean coal, and 6% nuclear power. In a landmark update in 2023, the UAE set several new goals to bolster its renewable energy capacity and economic growth, including creating 50,000 new green jobs by 2030, tripling renewable energy capacity to 14 GW by 2030, raising clean energy's share in the total energy mix to 30% by 2031, and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
The UAE has planned $54 billion investment in energy and renewable sources over the next seven years. This investment aims to meet growing energy demands and accelerate the country’s energy transition. Through over 15 years of research and development and strategic policy work, the cost of solar energy in the UAE has been driven down to 1.35 cents per kilowatt-hour. The nation boasts three of the world’s largest solar plants and continues to expand its solar infrastructure rapidly. The Noor Abu Dhabi solar park is a flagship project that will significantly reduce the UAE’s carbon footprint by 1 million metric tons per year, equivalent to removing 200,000 cars from the roads.
In addition to its solar energy projects, the UAE is breaking new ground with its Wind Program, developed by Masdar. This initiative aims to integrate wind power into the UAE’s electricity grid, diversifying the energy mix and advancing the nation’s transition to renewable energy. The Wind Program is not only facilitating the commercialization of utility-scale, low-wind speed projects but also building a foundation of critical scientific wind data for future development phases. Abu Dhabi has committed over $20 billion to renewable energy programs through Masdar.
