About The Venue

Fira de Barcelona Gran Via is perhaps one of the biggest and most recognized exhibition centres in Europe and certainly the top ranking centre in Spain, not only for its modern architecture and amenities, but also a commitment to sustainability. The centre is best known for having among the largest rooftop photovoltaic plants, which gives it certain independence from traditional power sources. We are talking about a total of 26,000 solar panels installed. The gross exhibition area is 240,000 m² (~2,583,000 sq. ft.) and that’s divided into a total of eight exhibition halls with Hall 8 containing a congress centre. The congress centre’s modular design allows to host from 3000 people up to a total of 12,000 people.

All eight halls are laid out in pairs and connected by weather-controlled walkway and there are plans to begin construction of a new building in 2024. The projected size will be of 60,000 m² (~646,000 sq. ft.) and will have two storeys with offices. Fira Gran Via offers visitors 4580 parking spaces, connections to all lines of public transport in Barcelona, Spain and 45 restaurants in total. The venue is owned by Fira de Barcelona, which Barcelona’s trade fair institution, alongside its sister site Fira Montjuïc, and is host to over 100 events on an annual basis. Smart City Expo World Congress, COSMOBEAUTY Barcelona, Mobile World Congress, Alimentaria Barcelona, ITMA and CPhI Worldwide are some of the most high-profile exhibitions and congresses to ever take the stage at Fira Gran Via.
