THE HOTEL SHOW 2025, Dubai, UAE

Dubai has spent millions upon millions to cultivate a reputation among travellers as a destination that offers opulence, modernity and excitement. Its hospitality industry dominates on a global scale and far outpaces that of perennial go-to tourism traps like Paris, New York and Milan. It helps that the industry is still young and there’s more room for expansion. What has greatly helped Dubai’s hospitality is the emirate’s swift recovery post-pandemic, which has been nothing short of textbook perfect.
Dubai was one of the first cities to witness a flurry of tourists and a resurgence in high-profile conferences and exhibitions, signaling a return to normalcy by the end of 2021. With some hotels nearing full occupancy, Dubai solidified its status as a market not to be underestimated. The UAE boasts one of the world’s most prosperous hospitality markets and projections indicate a growth of 25% by 2030. Anticipating an influx in visitors, Dubai aims to accommodate approximately 40 million new guests in its hotels by 2031. Dubai’s temperate climate, particularly during the winter months, further enhances its appeal as a travel hotspot. The UAE has leaned into this advantage and launched the World's Coolest Winter campaign, which sought to rebrand the country as the natural choice for winter travellers on the hunt for a warmer winter season.
Dubai's meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) tourism sector is also primed for substantial growth. Following the triumph of Expo 2020, the UAE hosted COP 28 in November 2023, which went on to be a big success. Recent data highlights Dubai's stellar performance in the hospitality sector with impressive year-on-year increases in occupancy rates, average daily rates (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR). Dubai is a leader in the GCC countries and rivals benchmark cities such as Istanbul, New York, and Paris in occupancy rates.
