The industrial engineering industry in Milan has once again have the opportunity to meet in full now that LAMIERA is ready to open its doors. The international exhibition dedicated to sheet metal, tube, and section cutting is a mainstay in the city’s event calendar and attracts significant attention from industry professionals and highlighted Milan’s critical role in the global industrial engineering landscape. The event’s 2023 edition was a resounding success, if the 19,000 trade visitors are anything to go by. Additionally, the event benefited from a partnership with Made in Steel, held concurrently in nearby halls. This collaboration allowed free passage between the two exhibitions, enhancing cross-sector engagement and networking opportunities. A key aspect of LAMIERA 2023 was its sharp focus on innovation and sustainability, topics that dominated discussions at the LAMIALAMIERA arena. This arena hosted around 40 meetings. These sessions explored the latest advancements in digitalization and sustainable practices. The arena events attracted 800 participants, with an additional 3,500 users joining via live streaming. This hybrid approach allowed for broader engagement and ensured that key insights reached a wide audience. LAMIERA 2023 also emphasized education and industry engagement through the UCIMU Academy initiative. Approximately 1,000 students, accompanied by their teachers, attended the event. These students participated in guided tours of the exhibition stands, led by tutors from the UCIMU Association. This initiative provided students with firsthand exposure to state-of-the-art technologies and gave them valuable insights into the industry's future. The event garnered considerable media attention, with around 100 journalists covering the exhibition. This extensive coverage helped amplify LAMIERA's impact, reaching a global audience and highlighting Milan's pivotal role in the industrial engineering sector.
