The Dubai World Trade Center is a 38-storey skyscraper in Dubai purpose-built for the hosting of events. It has 106044 m2 of event space and can accommodate about 33934 people. The venue is visited by over 3 million visitors every year and is the hosting site of Airport Show and CABSAT. It is also the location of the Gulfood Manufacturing, Gulfood Exhibition and IPM Dubai.
The Dubai World Trade Centre is among Dubai and the UAE’s iconic venues. It is featured on the 100 banknote. It provides flexible spaces for a large group of events on account of its 92,000 square metres of flexible event space. The venue was the first tallest building in the country between 1979 and 1999. The venue has received several expansions over the years after its inauguration in 1974. These include the adding of the Al Mulaqua Ballroom, Sheikh Saeed Halls, Za’abeel Halls, and the Trade Centre Arena.
